Statement of Beliefs

That the entire 66 books of the Old and New Testament Bible is fully inspired by God, that it is entirely trustworthy and that it is the final authority for faith and life. In areas that are not essential to the message of the gospel we respect differing viewpoints. 2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16

That there is one God who is a complex Trinity, that He is personal, almighty and perfect; that He created all things and that He exists eternally and co equally in three persons God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  Is. 43:10, Heb 1:1-3, John 1:1-4, Eph 1:13-14

That Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, that He was born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. We believe He died in our place atoning for all human sin, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to the Father’s side. John 1:1,14

In the Holy Spirit that is coequal with the Father and the Son and imparts eternal life to all who believe, enabling them to believe in Christ, indwelling them, empowering them to grow in holiness and equipping them to serve God in the church and in the world. We also believe that the outworking of the Holy Spirit should be orderly and not disruptive since God is not a God of disorder but of peace. Rom 8:9. 1 Cor 12: 12-13, 1 Cor 14:33

In the value and dignity of all people, created in God’s image to live in love and holiness but now alienated from God having become sinners by nature and by choice. Gen 1:27 Rom. 5:12, Rev. 7:9

In Salvation that God in His great love for us has provided forgiveness for all who confess their sinfulness, repent and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. John 3:16

That all those who have believed on Jesus together constitute His Church. We believe that this universal Church is manifested in local churches which are to fulfill the Lord’s command to make disciples. Isaiah 58:6-12. Luke 4:18, Mat. 28:18-20

In baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. Water baptism is an outward sign of what the Holy Spirit has performed in the heart of the believer. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of His sacrifice in securing our redemption. Matthew 26:26-29 1 Peter 3:21

In the personal return and victorious reign of Jesus Christ, who will judge in equity and justice all people who have ever lived giving over those who were unrepentant to eternal condemnation but receiving the redeemed into eternal life. Matthew 25:46

That Marriage between one man and one woman in heterosexual and monogamous marriage is God’s original creative design. Gen 1:26-27, Rom. 1: 26-27,

In pursuing holiness. We don’t elevate the gravity of any sin above another because all sins lead us away from the holiness and purity our God requires of us. The salvation Christ offers is sufficient to expunge all sin when we repent.  Hebrews 12:14, 2 Peter 3:9
